[2.0] Cheap/Easy/Hardcore Viable Physical Melee Marauder
 This is a quick guide for my Automated Battle-Thrive build. This build was designed to be cheap to make and easy to play. Originally inspired by Vikings, Barbarians & Berserkers, it is thusly appropriately themed. In combat your damage and tank automatically increase, as does your opposition. This means that you can focus on what's important and not crack under pressure when the tides of battle seem to be too overwhelming. As you swing your mighty 2h axe, greatest and most imposing of weapons, you will land a hit because true warriors never miss (Resolute Technique). When hitting, you will proc Fortify reducing damage taken from hits by 20%. Cowards will no doubt stab at your war-hardened backside to no avail as they proc both Cast When Damage Taken & Vengeance. As you take hits and damage these skills will curse your enemies with Enfeeble reducing the damage they deal by 21%, and Punishment which cause hits on cursed targets to grant 30% more melee damage and 15% additional attack speed. As the enemies feeble attacks become more feeble they proc Blood Rage The physical damage life degen tickles like many pretty pink feathers against your 90% physical damage reduction and any blood spilled made up for with plenty by your passive 300 life regen per second. No pain no gain, but you suffer a warrior should and gain a further 15% increased attack speed. Hacking and slashing with increased ferocity, your bloody rage causes you to gain frenzy charges with a 25% chance per hit. The Frenzy of battle grants you 16% increased attack speed and 16% more damage. As enemies grow in numbers they seem to dwindle in strength as your hits have a 30% chance to proc Endurance Charge on Melee Stun which grants you endurance charges. You owe your endurance to your years of strict training as you gain 24% physical damage reduction and 1.2% life regen per second. You find yourself in a position lethal to those lesser beings as the Gods of War grant you the ability to steal the life of those slain with 6% Life Leech on hit and a 30% chance when hit to leech 40, plus 2% life on hit in an AEO around you. You turn evasion rating in to armor so you can use Armor, Evasion or Armor/Evasion gear. You don't take movement penalties from armor stacking. As long as you manage to cap your resists and get some life you won't need much else. The one item that stands out however is the amulet. You need an amulet corrupted with a "enemies can have one additional curse" mod. Aside from that all of your gear can be rares. Here is my current gear at level 78. Flasks are up to you but I suggest an instant life, regular life, quicksilver and granite flasks. Skill Tree

For hardcore users, or all other warriors.
Train a few more muscles, to be really awesome with your huge weapon to strike fear in your foes. Take the stun cluster, and wear a real viking girdle like this: In addition take a really heavy weapon to let your strikes crashing down hard: If you train enough, even piety and dominus will fear the impact of your weapon - and it's only relocating about 6 points in the skill tree - and you are already linking a stunning gem (Charge on stun) in your main attack. Get as much stun, duration and readucing treshhold on equipment as you can, the results are really good. |
