You can regen enough to pretty much ignore the firing cost, particularly if you use LGoH as a sixth link (could outregen a 5link with 400ish per second), and with a kaoms, get 8k+ life to boot. If only the skill itself were a bit more fun tbh...

Is Corrupted Energy an offensive gem?

I thought it's defensive.
He uses both his high life and ES against physical damage, and his ES also helps against incoming chaos damage.

"pvp secrets" lmfao, last time i tested proj did affect the explosion, was less then 3months ago so i dont see when this change would happen, i usually read the patch notes pretty much til the end.
