Map experience gain. Magic vs Rare..

Hi, I just need a 2nd or 3rd opinion. My friend told me that the experience gain from a Magic map is the same as the Rare map. Only that the rare map has more loots/chance to get high tier items. Obviously I'm talking about the same exact map. Eg. Level 76 Gorage Magic Map vs Level 76 Rare Map.

Maplevel does not change with rarity of the map which means the experience gain will always be the same. Only difference are the amount of mapmods on the map, a magic map can only roll 2 mods and a rare map can roll up to 6 mods. Depending on the mods, experience gain can be higher on rare maps (more magic monsters, beyond, ...).
