Single target lightning spells?

but ball lightning scales with AOE + number of hits (knockback/chance to flee/slower proj) and not like your typical spell (cast speed etc)

it will work but.. it is such a giant waste if one just 'adds' BL to their crit/cast speed build

for a single target in such setup i vote for Spark

lightning trap is an aoe skill

I'm using a storm call totem and vaal storm call to assist with tougher foes, that combined with spamming your main AoE is enough for most tasks. The main selling point of Storm Call is it needs no special passives or exotic support setups to work, just straight dps.

Ok im using Vaal storm call + light pen + increased AOE and it works very well (actually, it's VERY powerful), i'll stay with this.

As for BL. I think i will lack the links. Since i'm going to have mostly Pure armor gear getting BL + FC + Echo + Light pen will be next to impoossible.

If you're just using vaal storm call as boss killer I'd swap aoe for conc. Depending on adds. Some bosses have adds some don't so you'll have to switch it up.

If you wear the Warped Timepiece amulet, Sunblast belt, and support Arc with Trap, Multiple Traps and a quality Reduced Duration, you can have the traps trigger automatically the instant they arm (100% reduced duration) and, if there is only one enemy nearby, all three traps will chain onto that single target.

It's also pretty good against multiple enemies.
