Still no luck, eh?

Forgot to mention devs are known to be a bit secretive when giving details about the inner workings of their game, especially if it would reveal the way it was coded, regardless of the info being on the sensitive side or not. For instance, we've been bugging them for ages to reveal the exact formula for likelihood of socket colors, we know the general behavior well enough to make good guesses and community data isn't far off on the estimate, however details remain unknown to day.

So it's possible you will only get the why and how for the reave multiplier problem but not the whole process from the start as you hope.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

That's just terribly frustrating. It surely wouldn't be harmful for the game to know the exact way in which things are rounded...
Just wanted to stop here and share my experience on the subject.
With another user, after every possible "rounded or not rounded" calculations, we went to the conclusion that some values displayed on items themselves are already rounded, especially "attacks per second".
For example, let's say an item shows 1.56 APS, it is maybe already an approximation, for simplicity purpose (internally, it could be 1.565 or whatever).
But the thing is, some data on the 'C' screen are result of calculations using those (real) internal values.
That would explain why it's sometimes impossible to get a matching DPS with self-made calculations, because you'll always deal with trash values in the first place.
