Windows 10 - sessie kick - work around

Hello POE players,

I could not play POE over the past few days.
POE kept crashing when starting POE, logging in, using WP or using Portal to town.
Sometime i could play for a hole 5 min before my session crashed.


I rememberd a issue i had at work with win7.
So i look in my event log and saw all red icoons for writing to C:\Users\%user%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\ access denied

To make this work you need to give the user everybody access to these folders.
Setting your UAC to minimal is not enough. It will allow you to make folders with windows asking questions. But doesn't give 3e party access to the folder.

So i made a small work around:
go to the POE map in C:\Users\%user%\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\
right klik the map go for Proporties ==> Security the Edit


Press the add button:


Go to advanced:


Press Find Now:


Select "everyone" in the list:

Press OK
press OK

Now make sure the user "Everone" has all the Permissions (Full control)


I'am fully aware this isn't a solution, but it will allow you to play POE again.
