lvl 28 gem cap?

ok so im going to lvl gems for my LLD pvp
and im looking for the max lvl below lvl 28 that the gems can reach .... and YEA I know you can check in game that's not what im after I want to know the highest lvl the gem can reach before lvling them thanks |

" not sure what you mean exactly but ill just give you a few answers and hopefully the one you're looking for is in there. You can get +1 to socketed gems on an item You can get +1 to level of gem through Vaal Orb (gem level 21) Using above method you can get Empower level 4 which adds 3 gem levels to linked gems So Empower level 4 in an item with +1 to socketed gems gives you a level 5 empower which adds 4 gem levels to linked gems. Link it with a level 21 gem in the same item and it becomes level 26. Last 2 levels come from a stat like +2 to socketed bow gems on a bow, or +2 to socketed melee/cold/fire gems on a staff. Using this you can reach level 28 with a gem. Without any modifiers on your gear and without an Empower, your gem level caps at 20 If you don't level your gem up at all (leave it at level 1) then it can be level 8 if you put it in one of these items with a level 4 empower. So if you're trying to do something funky where you leave a gem at level 1 to keep its mana cost low, then this will mess with you a bit. Every Saturday = National Booze n Poe Day

" nothing like that heres example lets say that burning arrow lvl req at 27 for next lvl then after that the next lvl up req will be lvl 29/30 to use which would not work for my lvl 28 pvp or like melee phsy damage currentl lvl 3 , reqs lvl 26 to use at the next lvl up would it require lvl 28/29/30 ... hope you see what im getting at now |
