Turning blues into Alchs

A couple weeks ago i saw a guide on turning blue items in orbs of alchemy reliably. It said you would get about 1 alch per hour by picking up blue items.
I don't remember how though. Does anyone know how to turn blue items into alchs? thanks |

Chaos resist, +level of socketed gems, and a flask affix (which I can't remember.. surgeon's?) will vendor for alchemy shards. Quality/quantity rolls will give shards as well. Twenty shards will give you an orb. I assume that's what you're referring to.
The other alch recipe is to sell an rare, magic, and base item of the same type, each with 20% quality, will give one alchemy orb. If the rare and magic are unidentified, it goes for two alchs. |

Alternatively, if you just pick up globs of blues and ID them they give a decent number of alteration shards, Alt orbs in turn you can trade for alcs at a ratio of 8:1.

Mylon meant that you can go to trade channel and trade alt orbs to another player in return for an alch orb.
