Vendors do not recognize my currency in additional stash tabs

I noticed that some vendors and masters do not recognize my currency when it is stored in my stash tabs 5-x.

I've dedicated a stash tab for the bulks of chromes, alts and jeweller orbs one gets and rarely uses in this game, but both Elreon and Vorici don't find it there, I have to put it in the char's inventory to buy 20 jeweller/fusing.

Same goes for mastercrafting, but not for "crafting" (I can spam Alts on a map with my "invisible" alts in stash tab 9, but cannot buy a 2 alt item).

In stash tabs 1-4, I never had these issues, I can blindly buy and mastercraft.

Only the 4 left-most stash tabs are always "loaded" while in town, the rest load as you access them during that visit to town. It's to reduce the amount of redundant communication with the server (No one usually needs to interact with ALL their stash tabs, so why waste resources loading every single one and all their contents?).

A good proper solution to this problem would be the ability to let players customize their stash with categories, so they can categorize their stash tabs and have the selected category restrict what kinds of items can go in to the Stash Tab (With an option to leave a tab's category Undefined if desired). One category could be Currency and only currency items can go in that tab and such Tabs will always be loaded while in town.

I imagine this functionality would be useful for Guild Leaders and Guild Stash too.

Thx for the reply, I thought it was a bug.
It's not a big deal anyways, I can just put that stuff in stash tab 2 instead of 9.

Cool! finally got an answer for this problem. I couldn't figure why sometimes I couldn't buy stuff with NPC when I obviously had enough currency.

Bold addition mine.

i.e. if you were to shuffle all your tabs around and rename them without knowing this, none of your first tabs may have preloaded access and GL finding the ones that do.

Pretty sure it was changed to the 4 left most tabs regardless of where they originated from once it became super obvious lots of people would have 20+ Premium tabs.

OK tested.

It seems it was changed to be the first tabs from left rather than the first original tabs from left.

It also appears to be the first 6.

Well, that was a reason to log in at least. 5 mins of PoE over for today. Let's see if I can find a reason to start the client tomorrow.

it's the first 8 tabs you originally had (tabs get internal numbers server side which never change).

you have to ask jonathan if the first 8 tabs get tagged for the vendor to use them even if you move them around or if it's always the first 8.

chances are good he responds on reddit rather than here.

I currently can't play the game (Maybe next month/October I can), it shouldn't be too hard for you to test out our theories. If all your currency is in one of the first 8 tabs that originated at the left end, moving the currency tab/s to position 9 or higher should result in the vendor not recognizing your currency after you've left and re-entered town (My theory), unless the game checks for the original first 8 tabs (Your theory).
