A memory of D2 - Rush leveling

You know what part D2 was acutally fucking amazing? The ability to rush meaning you can get to 1-80 in about a few hours with a help of a friend or in general just basic runs. Leveling in this game is such a chore which I guess some of you enjoy I suppose but to me It's really not fun doing it for like the fucking 100th+ time or something silly.

Some just want to do end game.

Any thought's on this? Would you guys support the idea of making leveling a bit easier then becomes quite a wall at X point just like D2. Everyone would continue to re-roll it would be marvelous because it only takes a few hours that's what made D2 quite good in terms of making a lot of alts.

I don't really care but you can already do 1-60 in 6hrs or so in PoE with twink gear and without friends, so I wouldn't be surprised if you could be rushed to 70 in 4-5 hrs.
You don't even need that much in 2.0, a tabula rasa, flame totem, move speed boots and you're good to go.

I might actually play HC if this was possible.
1 of the main reason i dont play HC is because i don't want to level character more then i have to.
every league i enjoy myself with my first char leveling.
and every subsequent char is increasingly more boring to level.
player rushing was a player made solution to addressing a game flaw that should have had a developer made solution....

IE running the exact same shit 3+ times in a row is boooring.

There are plenty of novel things ggg/ blizzard north can do or could have done to make the grind through the difficulties and leveling the character more interesting and rewarding.

poe does better than most arpgs in this regard. but it could do better.

the three act thing is obviously a money saving effort. Thing is ggg already has a boat load of content they could use to spice up later difficulties that they arent using.

For example , bosses ... through out all the leagues we have had, we have had no less than 3 - 4 that have offered a huge assortment of bosses that now go almost unused or are excessively rare.

Invasion and beyond bosses come to mind. at-least with beyond you have a map mod or that void spawn blood line.

but can you imagine if say in later difficulties there were just portals in some areas that spawned beyond mobs?

what about all of those invasion bosses? one could easily use a bunch of them in later difficulties to spice up acts ac difficulty specific mini bosses.

and tempest and warbands once their leagues are over can do an even better job of this.
As ggg could easily wait to introduce them until cruel and merci and purposefully put them in key areas almost as lore pieces.

that is an awful lot of content they could use to spice up the grind that they have just sitting there

it also doesn't help that there's a handfull of skills that outperform so hard during leveling , that you almost feel obligated to use them which results in repetitive boring leveling.

incinerate is a nice example of this.

but then incinerate is prett damn retarded atm

Rush for what purpose? In D2, the endgame was PvP, so people paid to grush/crush and then cow/chaos/uber their chars to bypass all the pointless PvM. In PoE, we have nothing but pointless PvM.

Player VS Map? That's the end game that's what I like ( despite map drop rates are shit but that's another topic )

I agree.

I loved rushing.
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
