How to add spell damage to shield?

was gonna add spell damage and str (needed for my build) then exalt it as well.

Haku can add strength to your shield easily. You're out of luck for spell damage though - Catarina could do it but only for wands, sceptres, daggers and (for higher spell damage) staves. You could go for cast speed (Catarina) instead.

Also note that a rare item can only have six affixes so after strength and spell damage you wouldn't be able to Exalt anyway.

Spell damage is a prefix, and you already have 3 prefixes.

Also, multimod itself is an affix, so it serves no purpose when you have more than 3 affixes on a rare.

Unless I'm missing something about the "new" crafting methods?

True, forgot that spell damage was prefix as well. It's doubly impossible then ;)

Best to go for either critical strike chance for spells or cast speed then.
