2.0.2 Deployed, Grand Winners of the Video Making Event and the End of the Emberwake Race Season!

Second Prize winner here! :D :$
That Malachai video is awesome! no wonder is won the grand prize.. speaking of which.. what was it?
What you will do about this RMT spammer in trade and global chat in Tempest ?
The video by Chicken_nuggets is really great!

But I'm a bit surprised that a random video of a Mjölner drop is a "hand-selected winner", when there were a lot better videos like "The Path of an Exile is gonna suck when you grow up".

That video just had a lot of great editing. It also seemed to have a lot of positive resonance on reddit, and as I like to watch AMV's I really enjoyed this! :)

Thanks! And the video you linked was also made by the 1st place winner, so no need to worry ;)

Congratz to the winners ! I thought the mjolner one was kind of lame but whatever :)
So I'm seeing what people are getting at with the video selections.

The hand-chosen winners were selected because of how they highlight the game.

Chicken_Nugget's video showed that the game had a story, lore, a background. Not many games do this, especially a F2P game. They also did a fantastic job with the video layout in terms of dialogue order and visual effects.

My video showed off a ridiculous build that you would probably never expect in any game ever, which is an extremely powerful build that requires the user to die. Usually death is a very negative thing in a game.

And CupOfRespect's video, which has all the controversy right now, shows that the game has such exciting moments that you can't help but go from a man to a little girl for a couple of minutes.

Yes, there were a lot of great entries, but you can't deny that these videos showed off what the game is in a really great way.

And I know this may not be exactly the reason why GGG chose the winners, but it all makes logical sense. Everyone has their own opinions but I hope we can come to an understanding. This is a great community and it wouldn't be very good if said person came into a thread talking about them and made them feel bad. I know none of you were directly criticizing, but people can interpret things very differently than what you intended. I learned this the hard way and I still make that mistake myself.

Lesson be learned, if you have an opinion, think about how it can be interpenetrated. Because you can't express feelings properly through text.

Very true! It was obvious GGG was enjoying the exciting moments of near death and awesome drops with people's ridiculous responses. They had posted several of them throughout the showcasing announcements. They were focused on that category most than any other I would say. There were a lot of awesome (and girly) reactions recorded throughout the event. I can only assume that GGG decided the mjolner drop was the best of its class.

And as it was pointed out, some videos had more editing time put into them, but for one: a large portion of the majorly edited videos were created by ShikuTeshi and I (the link posted was even Shiku's), and two: in my opinion it would have been kind of bad if they chose only edited videos as winners when great captured moments were the most uploaded topic. In a way, he had a harder time winning than we did. We kind of pushed ourselves ahead through editing while he won through a raw untouched video. Congrats to him I say!

Also Shiku... 'interpenetrated' is quite a hilarious typo. Kind of derailed your closing statement on the topic though. xD
