poe.trade and jewels

Hello,

Am I alone to think that poe.trade is very inefficient to find interesting jewels since each can have many different prefix/suffix ?

To take my example, I am playing shockwave totem , and I am looking for jewels with

- energy shield
- area damage
- spell damage
- spell damage with shield
- physical damage
- faster start of energy shield
- faster casting
- faster casting and attack speed
- faster casting with shield
- totem damage
- increase damage

etc ...

That's a lot of possible combination and it's just a pain with current poe.trade.
What would be nice is to have an option to give the list of mods that we are interested in and poe.trade list all jewels that have them listed.

It would be nice to have an option to remove all jewells that have only 3 mods too.

What's your opinion about it ?

yeah i always have to do a lot of research on possible mods before i can even begin to search for a jewel to buy. it's kind of annoying :/

May I propose that when you search for a mod, you are answered with all posible combinations?

Example:

I want to see the Jewels with +14% Attack Speed with Axes:

Outcome:

7% Attack Speed with Axes (Cleaving)
4% increased Attack Speed (of Berseking)
4% increased Cast Speed and Attack Speed (of Zeal)

Total : 15% Attack Speed with Axes

It would be the same way that life is calculated in addition to Strength of current items.

The only good way I found is that to do a negativ search, ie looking for all item without mod1, mod2, mod3 ... It takes ago to do with jewels but then I save my research so I can reuse it later.

How do you do to save the search details?

you can just bookmark your search in your browser.
I've tested it. It works fine for several days/week but after that it didnt work anymore.

Maybe because the poe.trade web was updated to a new version?

I'd guess that the letters at the end of the url are randomly generated, linked to the search criteria, and discarded after some amount of time -- which makes sense, the vast majority of searches aren't going to be relevant to the searcher for very long, but are often repeated in a short amount of time.

The urls used do not appear to be an encoding of the search (like a shortener), which is what I'd expect them to be if they were intended to be permanent.

You might consider using a form-filling extension for your browser for aiding with searching for jewels if you need to search over a longer period of time than poe.trade is saving searches for.
