Righteous Fire questions

Does anyone know if Righteous Fire (RF from now on) is considered "damage taken"?
The Fragile Bloom jewel states "10% increased damage taken" - does this include the degen from RF? (If I have the Battle Rouse passive (+3% dmg taken gained as mana) I could potentially use this to boost mana regen. Is this true?) Disregard bracketed question - I noticed now that it states "... when hit" so I guess no. Last edited by Celavie#2906 on Aug 12, 2015, 10:33:54 AM

I would say, it does not, but i also might be wrong. None of the "damage taken" stuff effects RF, so probably this wont either.

Yes, fragile bloom will effect the degen damage taken. The life regen it grants offsets this and gives you a positive net regen in any logical RF build, but only by about 1% total life regen in a typical 88% fire res situation.
You're basically spending a jewel socket for 1% life regen and taking more damage from enemies. This is a pretty terrible tradeoff IMO. Though it may be worthwhile while leveling to start running RF earlier. IGN: Smegmazoid

I believe that Abyssus affects Blood Rage and bleeds (including Corrupting Blood), so it's possible that Fragile Bloom also includes RF.
Running one would probably still put you out ahead if you're stretching to sustain RF, but I would be careful about running more than one even if it didn't increase RF damage too. IGN: Ikimashouka, Tsukiyattekudasai, DontCallMeMrFroyo

Without Fragile Bloom:
90% Life as Fire Damage 88% Resist: 90 * 0.12 = 10.8% Life Regen required With Fragile Bloom: 99% Life as Fire Damage 88% Resist: 99 * 0.12 = 11.88% Life Regen required You'd gain juuust under 1% Life/sec, but also take a little bit Damage from everything else. |
