any point blank / chin Sol builds out there?

I haven't reassigned skill points to my ranger since the last reset and had a Chin Sol drop for me the other day (I know, not the greatest bow in the game, but I've never seen it drop)

So I was thinking of trying out a point blank build of some kind (maybe with knockback/puncture) but I can't find one that's not more than a year old.

Is there a reason for this? Does this kind of build not work well?

Any advice would be welcome.


edit: should mention I do not have, nor can afford a drillneck.

Unfortunately, from what I read PB doesn't even work with RoA anymore, so that's one skill less you are able to use. PB + RoA used to be the mainstay of my guide but now, I recommend most people to go Split instead. Also with Point Blank, you'd want to be in melee range most of the time. Lots of Life needed to do that, and with the buff in monster damage Evasion is weaker than ever for this situation ):

It has been brought to my attention that my post above is inaccurate, so ignore everything I posted here :P

I had one before the expansion. Very tanky, very nice damage, decent clear speed. Now I'm thinking about rolling one with ranged totem.

The basic idea is do something like duelist/marauder/scion, iron reflexes, iron grip, resolute technique (it's a non-crit).

Now you can add a Lioneye's Fall jewel and cut the traveling to get bow damage.

Ok this build is called the railgun. I think if you YouTube poe railgun you will get this build.

First off you need a chin sol, pyre (ring), and a hyrri's bite, and eventually a carcass jack. You will need to spec into vaal pact, acrobatics, and point blank. The main damage is going to come from iceshot with a increased aoe, pierce and life leach.

Basically the iceshot makes a cone of damage pyre turns that cold damage to fire, then stuff that isn't dead burns to death. I spent about 10 c at level 62 to get this build going and I love it.
