Ice nova question (new player)

Hi, I just started playing poe and I am trying to find/use ice nova, but I cleared the quests For hillock and Brutus, and still haven't come across the gem. Could someone please tell me where to find it? Every Internet source I've searched has said I should have gotten it as a quest reward by this point.

You get this quest reward once you enter Cavern of Wrath on the way to kill the Act 1 boss, Merveil. Once you enter the cavern, grab the wp and head back to town for the reward :)

I'm sure you know this but just in case you don't, the vendor Nessa in town has a second tab in her store page where you can buy an assortment of gems in addition to Ice Nova.
