Spectral Throw + Chain question

Alright, i rode that chain support doesn't work with spec throw, because of the piercing.
Fine.
Now, my question is, does the quality bonus still apply ?
Basically, i don't care if the chain effect doesnt work, but i may just need the +20% projectile speed boost from quality.

If it displays piercing icon on the skill icon on your toolbar when gems are linked, then it applies, it then also means that the damage penalty from the chain applies as well, so I'm not sure why you'd wanna use them together.

Especially if you could just use projectile speed gem.

That's because i use a 6L spec throw setup just for culling, so i don't care about damage at all.
Instead, i wanna focus on attack & projectile speed, so that i cull bosses as fast as possible.
I'll check the skill icon.

Ah, wondered if it was CoH for your setup, didn't think of culling :). Hope it works.
Actually, now that I gave it some more thought, there may be a stat on character screen that tells you how much bonus proj speed your skill has.
