Video-Making Event Update and Tips!

This week's upcoming winner will be based on build showcase submissions. We recommend making videos that display the builds you're playing! If you feel so inclined, adding a link to your build guide is also a great idea! Here are some examples of interesting builds that have already been shared:

Dual Titans of the Grove (Allies Cannot Die) - Chicken_Nugget
Video Unavailable

Showing off support build while solo - goat_tongue
Video Unavailable

Interaction between frost blades, GMP and chain - AquaFreeze
Video Unavailable

For full information on the event check out MMORPG.com's news piece. You can also check out our previous announcements and videos here, here and here. Don't forget you can share your videos via reddit and by embedding them on the forums here!

Good luck for the event! We're excited to see what you guys create.

First!

Edit: Op! nope! darn. Well anyway wish I could participate in this but my computer is too crappy to run any vid recording program except Fraps, and my internet is too crappy to upload a Fraps file :P

Quite the delema there...

Have you checked out Avidemux? It's free and basic video-editing software. It can be used to condense your videos from Fraps and make them quicker to upload.

If you do get it, follow these steps:
- Open Avidemux
- File: Open: Select video
- Video Output: Copy: Select "Mpeg4 ASP (xvid4)"
- Video Output: Configure: Motion Estimation: Encoding Mode: Select "Two Pass - Average Bitrate"
- Below "Encoding Mode" - Change "Average bitrate" to "14400"
- Press "OK"
- File -> Save
