Noob can't kill Piety, help me understand why

Thanks to everyone for helping me. PoE forums are awesome, never have I gotten so many good replies so fast and from people that are actually nice lol!

I finally beat Piety on cruel mode at lvl 58 and man it was so much easier once I added an Area of Effect gem to my Ice Crash and rebinding Mouse 1 to Force Move was huge to.

I was able to optimize my build pretty good and this was the result.

List of changes in no specific order:
1. Quicksilver Flask -> Staunching Quicksilver (this didnt help too much sinc I was somehow able to out-heal the bleed, 2.2k over 4.5s ftw)
2. Granite Flask -> +Extra Charges
3. Dropped Herald of Ash/Ice and Hatred and picked up Determination
4. Linked Faster Casting to Enduring Cry
5. Dropped Rarity Gem and linked Increased Area of Effect to Ice Crash
6. Rebound Mouse 1 to Force Move


Also I found that QS flask or any other movement skils really wasn't necessary, I was able to move around him with sufficient speed to not get hit and was even able to get a few swings in every now and then while circling him.


I think that about rounds it up.

It's a really useful weapon to use with ice crash builds and it gives you room to socket different gems to make your ice crash even stronger. Since increased area of effect is a blue gem, it's unlikely that you'll be able to level it up super far by linking it yourself, so getting it for free on your weapon is simply awesome for the build.

I was looking at that weapon earlier, for sure looks good and I've been planning on getting it for a while now but I don't have $$$ right now so will have to wait a bit.


Someone said crit staff is really OP for dmg, if so I'd rather do that instead of that mace.


Bought cheap Marohi and lucked out with jeweler and chromatics, OP as f*ck, my old weapon was really bad too so I pretty much doubled my damage just now. Final boss should be way easier now.

I'll give u a quick keybind lesson that had dramatically changed my life since I discovered it rebind one of your skill bars to spacebar and use that as move only it is lifechanging

I don't that works. Does it? If it did Spell Echo would work too.

If anything, Increased AoE and Increased Duration are the supports for enduring cry, but it's not really needed.
