Enduring Cry Life Regen is pointless
If you build a character correctly you can work around needing enduring cry for the endurance charages. Which means you would only use it to keep a charge up from time to time.
So the next reason to use it would be the life regen which base duration is .75 seconds. You could put increased duration on it, but on .75 your looking at just over a second of regen. Which on a max level gem would only give you around 400hp. So maybe at best you can get it to do one second of regen that a flask would give. That would be every 4 seconds. No one would really use it as a quick life regen though because you have to stop attacking to trigger the skill where the cast time is .25 seconds. Now that Enduring Cry cannot be cast with CWDT, there has to be more reason then endurance charages. The life regen on it does not meet that. |

While I agree that the life regen is pretty pointless, the endurance charges alone are worth using enduring cry.
4% physical damage reduction per charge is amazing. |

The life regeneration was my main source of ES regen in a Zealot's Oath - Eldritch Battery - Mind Over Matter crit Glacial Cascade build. I cannot overstate its importance, it was truly build-enabling. Without it I would've needed much better gear and/or way more investment in life regen on the tree, which in the new Tempest league would've resulted in an unplayable character. I love it, and it just goes to show that every mechanic have its uses for someone! :)

I guess the whole point of this was that Enduring Cry life regen should be sustainable with a 8sec duration like the other rally cries.
like a half effect vitality. lvl 1 is .3%hp to lvl 20 .9%. Heck it make more sense to just be .5% at all levels then in its current state. Or if they want to keep it burst make is viable like 25% of your max life instance heal on use and the cool down is 6 seconds. I understand that its primary function is endurance charages (which are great), but in the current state life regen needs a practical use. |

The reason for regeneration is to compensate for loss in leech/LOH that for time spent casting - so you don't have to worry that if you stop dps to cast EC to refresh charges you might end up dying because of missed leech.
Also it ain't bad to top yourself up when you are stacking EC up before you can melee boss. |
