How does Blood magic gem work ?

Playing the game since late rampage , mostly mana based life builds and never used the blood magic gem before .

Very confusing as this gem has a mana multiplier , anyone know if the gem makes it cheaper to use the linked skills as it levels up ?

It has a Mana multiplier because it increases the Mana cost of the linked spells. It just uses Life instead of Mana to pay these costs. And yes, leveling the Gem decreases the Mana multiplier. You could just have googled that easily. No flame, just FYI, the Poewiki knows a lot.

can someone help me pls, i dont understand why Hezmana's is so much better then Kaoms Primacy..
Im relatively new to this game, its my first char. The only thing i can find its because blood magic.. but all it does is use life instead of mana.. where is the dps gain from it?

Hezmana's has higher maximum DPS. I mean especially physical DPS + free leech.

Attacks have Blood Magic is also good mod (for certain builds). You are spending life instead of mana from your main attack skill therefore you can reserved all your mana for auras (you need to adapt your utility skills and movement though).
