I just found a really interesting website with datamined stats on monsters! This is a big help for summoners when trying to decide what type of Spectre to focus on.

The one thing that confuses me is this:

Does that mean merc is that dmg cruel is the lower one? Is this per volley damage or per bolt damage?
I also believe these numbers should be a bit lower I remember GGG mentioning they nerfed revenants by 20% towards the end of beta.

They fire 5 bolts I had to use a gif generator and slower proj in order to count lol.

Since we are on the topic let's calculate Revenant Damage as a per bolt and each volley.
Let us state our variables:


- Flat damage of 2439-5691
- # of bolts per 'Volley' = 5
- Assume: 1 bolt = dmg = 12195-28455 = volley damage <- that really does not seem right lol
- Assume: mobs has 0% resistance (for easier calculations)

- Light pen 21/20 = 38% More | 10% Add <-anything under 0% res = MORE

The calculations:
Per Bolt: 336% * 7.713 = 2592% = 25.92 * 2439-5691 = 63,218 - 147,511
DPS(assume 1 cast per sec is base): 1 * 2.94 = 2.94 * 63,218 - 147,511 = 185,861 - 433,682
Per 1 spectre volley dps: 20bolts * 185861 - 433682 = 3,717,220 - 8,673,640
Per 3 spectre volley dps: 11,151,660 - 26,020,920

The Final Verdict:
11,151,660 - 26,020,920 DPS
LMAO. That doesn't sound right...

*** Key thing to remember is that my assumption is mobs at 0% resist. You will normally face 75% lighting resist mobs.

I would think it'd be per bolt, since they are independent.

As for the two skill entries, I am likewise unsure. If we look at the Flame Sentinel, though, it makes sense. Either monsters alternate between these by some frequency or condition, like the Flame Sentinel, or these are their crit attacks.

While it is possible the two are Cruel/Merciless distinctions, where is Normal? I think GGG just applies a % modifier by difficulty level (which may be what the Damage and Health % are about).

This sounds like the most plausible answer.

Which means my dps calculations was assuming spectre were criting 100% of the time. Or I could be wrong and that is Merc level 70 Spider Bro's damage.

That's possible, too, that the higher one is their high-level map version of the skill.

Also of note is an unlabeled number preceding each skill. This could be a number for skill priority, skill type/behavior, or something else. Though it slightly clutters the view, I've added them to the main post.

In any case, here's the new damage that Revenants do after patch 2.0.0g. They received a 30% reduction in damage, on top of firing only 3 projectiles rather than 5.

Looking at the revenant stats, one version of the "monsterprojectilespell" does exactly 1.5x as much as the other. I don't think it's crit because the other monsters don't have analogues. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Also wondering if the "140% Damage" stat means it does 40% more damage than the numbers listed, and if that's additive or multiplicative with other modifiers like minion damage.

I wish I could get another chance to look at poedb. I didn't realize it reported stats like these.

edit: also, surely the damage amounts vary with level? i.e. a higher level revenant would be hitting harder. So what level revenants do these dmg numbers even refer to?

Do you know any other high physical damadge creep? I was thinking that maybe the Barb Serpent, but theyre just lvl 60~.
