Etup dude on Tempest Ladder
|
This guy is a machine.
I admire his dedication. I could act like a jelly hater and say 'hurr it's only a game he has no friends he lives in his mom's basement my life is so much better' but dedication is dedication, no matter what you do. WTFBBQ! Who is this guy? He must be consuming drugs or be a vampire! I console myself that he has the the right group of people to help him get back up there and that he is used to staying up extreme hours. It does take a certain drive to achieve that kind of dedication, regardless of the fact some people might call it just gaming. GGG should give him a medal. lol Last edited by glh5#3285 on Jul 15, 2015, 3:56:57 PM

I've said this before about Etup - that lifestyle is incredibly unhealthy. I worry about him. I also worry about threads like this enabling and encouraging it... praising it even. I kinda wish he devoted the time to solving cancer or something. I sure as hell would offer praise in that case.

This thread is one major deja-vu!
But yes, he's very fast :) Last edited by kussekurt#5253 on Jul 15, 2015, 4:43:37 PM

Props to him for being so good at playing PoE, but to dedicate so much time to an online ARPG? Eh....

It's his time, his life, his choice. Also, with that amount of patience, skill and dedication, he could achieve a lot in other fields, so.. Don't worry that much. Most people couldn't do what he does even if they wanted to.
You have to be realistic about these things.

" That's true although I find it more interesting that 2 of the accounts that were banned for cheating are already back in the top 20. How is he supposed to compete with that, even if he is a machine? |

Is there any evidence that this account is played by a single person?

I thought he died when he fell asleep on stream back in Nemesis, seriously it can't be healthy.

Still baffles me when people try to put "gamer" and "healthy" in the same sentence.
Definitely not saying everyone else should do that but if you would understand morr if you are a gamer that did marathons on a game you were passionate about. That's the difference between casual (absolutely nothing wrong with it) gamers and hardcore gamers. My record was playing a game 3 days straight to cap the level for an exclusive title. That was when I was still in college with more time to spend on games. Work kinda got in the way of it though. |
