Transmogrifying Tempest

You've changed the frequency of these... good job. They were annoying. But now, they're completely avoidable and serve zero purpose except to give us a 10% item boost.

It was an interesting idea, but it's a fail in practice. Should be removed.

I believe the purpose of 'transmogrifying tempests' has been completely misunderstood.

They make, hands down, the most efficient way to farm alterations - if transmogrifying tempest is active on a lower level map (not necessarily low but low enough that you know the drops are relatively meaningless to you) then go and farm the crap out of it - very quick way to make a lot of very useful currency especially if you have decent increased item rarity.

What is more your inventory doesn't get full up so no porting back and forth all the time - incredibly efficient - all those wasted rares and blues turn into currency! It's great.

Transmogrifying Tempest is genuinely pretty awesome in this respect, just not on high level maps.

Okay.. I guess I'm biased. But I would much rather have the option of seeing if I want the item than to have it sold automatically.

This is true when the items are potentially relevant - which is why this tempest is bad on 75+ maps because their drops are ALWAYS potentially relevant, however, when you are farming 75+ maps already the majority of stuff that drops on lower level maps or normal game world are meaningless.

If you get transmogrifying on a zergish world map like merciless Docks, you know the vast majority of loot you'd get is worthless but if you could take the time to pick it all up and ID it and sell it to vendor you'd probably make a stack of alterations every run - the problem is it's inefficient due to having to ID and vendor EVERYTHING which is a pain in the backside.

In this case transmogrify comes along and means you can clear a merciless or even cruel dock in less than 5 mins and take home 20 alts or more. As someone who has farmed docks for alterations before without transmogrify I can tell you that this is pretty awesome

I understand your point though, for someone who is just progressing and hits a transmogrify tempest on a level relevant map its a pain in the backside =/

I like transmogrifying, too. Lots of alts and scroll fragments without the inventory getting full. :D
