the key to running pure glass? talk slow, move fast, look
before you jump.

runspeed: so crucial you need to run 20Q arctic armor.
Hit recovery: if you get stunned you cant run...
uninterupted cast: if you get stunned, you cant retaliate.
high stun chance/freeze: if they cant move, you don't need to!
faster cast: the sooner you fire, the sooner they get stunned/froze.
assasins garb: what did I say about runspeed? _crucial_

once you get a combination of block, EV, and dodge you can actually
survive flurries of hits.

endurance charges 4% each
Chaos golem 4%

basically I run around any map and atziri with 4 endurance charge up (16%) and AA (14%) so 30% physical - better than lightning coil - and 40 dodge and 46% spell dodge.

Imagine adding lightning coil too

You do need decent life sink tho for when things slip through I run 4500.

If you are running around then AA is 0%

as melee? maybe not.
if you can kite with ranged you can get by with even the bare minimum. i have 3800 hp and i think only 39% evasion (ondar's or w/e its called now makes it 19% vs melee 79% vs ranged), 40% dodge. im doing just fine. still only die to reflect.

that pisses me off too. why the $#*@ did they change the reflect symbol. stinkin' jerks

Evasion shines the most in late late game where you have massive hp small-medium amounts of armor don't do much because ele and phys hits are so high, but evasion is not the best for leveling. You have to have layered defenses for it to be really good so you can reset your entropy without taking hits (high block, or Acro more realistically with DW, Lightning Coil, Taste of Hate instead of Granite Flask etc.).

what made EV builds reliable (in the POE sense of this word) was CWDT + EC + IC combo

that singlehandely removed phys reflect and burst phys damage from the table. not 'mitigated' like with all these AA + charges + armor, no. just removed.

and now it is back and playing EV build feels awfully squishy. but.. it can work. but requires patience. charging headlong into tight pack with curse and on desecrate == resurrect in town

life leech changes do not help, even with these:


and a full claw build it is simply not enough for pre 2.0 comfort
