Ranger - [Build] Tank Ranger Axe/Shield - Forum

Hello,

This is a build I've been working on for a bit and I'm quite fond of it. Though I'm starting to wonder about my progression and where I should go to keep playing this character on into End Game. Would love some input. At some point I'll post up a video of my Ranger (Sieraxis) in action.

Main Skill
Cleave (STR) - This is a really nice skill that works well with an axe (imo) as axes deal the most damage from what I can tell. This provides nice hard hitting ability while also hitting multiple targets at once. It's important to have a decent AoE attack.

Secondary Skill
Heavey Strike - This skill is simply brutal against a single target. Mana cost stays low with leveling and hits even harder as you do so.

Compliment Skills
Warlords Mark - This provides me with increased survivability when I engage mobs with its Life Leech ability allowing me to stay in the fray as I slash away with Cleave.

Flicker Strike - I use this to get around quickly. How I use it depends on the circumstances. To get out of a pinch or to quickly teleport to Ranged attackers. I find them to be the most annoying so I quickly dispose of them with this and possibly followed by a heavy strike.

Also I'd post what I'm currently wearing for gear but don't know how to link that into my post. But I'll post my current stats. Currently at Normal Act 3.

DPS : 120.3
Chance to Hit: 93%
Main Hand Attack Speed Increase: 8%

Armor: 1542
Est Phy Dmg Reduction: 56%
Note: I can cap any of my resistances if I desire. I mostly wind up capping two of them with one or two rings.
Resistances (ATM): Fire Resistance 75%
Cold Resistance 21%
Lightning Resistance 75%
Chance to Block: 29%
Block/Stun Rec : 22%
Life Regen PS : 14.4

My Life is currently at 572HP and my Mana is currently at 232MP.

So far its been going pretty strong. I take most things down in 2-4 hits using Cleave. My original intention for this build was to dual-wield Axes but was having survivability issues in Act 3 so I opted for the shield as the 2nd Axe wasn't actually giving me any benefit DPS wise.

I'm starting to feel a bit uncertain where I should proceed with my build and would love any suggestions. Appreciate it!
