GGG, did you EVER think about what ES chars can do now?
Especially CI is pointless now. Seriously, chaos immune and 15% more es, that's all you have now. It is entirely destroyed. Blood rage was a key skill you needed to take CI for. Now I have no blood rage (also nerfed) because you can hardly even outleech it. With all those problems like stuns you can sustain your es only from weak leech.

" I know what they DID have in mind: Pre-2.0, if you had the money for it, you were an idiot if you didn't build low-life. Every single angle, it was inherently BETTER than any other possible build in the game: you could run way more auras than anyone else, you could benefit from LL effects and passives, and overall, this gave you VASTLY better DPS and clear times than anything else in the game. And because of how defensiveness worked in PoE in 1.3, you could skimp on your passives, spec'ing almost entirely into just pure offense. Get yourself a huge load of crit, and you still had only as much chance of dying as someone who built outright TANK; your obscene DPS meant you could leech your entire lifebar near-instantly, which combined with usually one other gimmick that required zero thinking or playing capability, (such as CWDT+EC+IC) you could effectively be immune to everything in the game. So far, all I've seen is that GGG has clipped those wings a bit to bring LL builds down closer to as powerful as other ones. Before they were order of magnitude better; outright mandatory for the far endgame. The only potential flaw I saw so far is that CI probably took too hard of a hit; they're always kind of forgotten, and I feel may have gotten a bit much in terms of collateral damage. But LL needed a HARD nerf. So all I can say to most complaints is... Welcome to a game where having skill got a buff. Git gud. And CI got kicked in the nuts, too. " See, posts like that are nothing but dumb. Tell me how you want to find a defense for a ES build when you lack points to get armor or eva, and you cannot leech enough, and you cannot use flasks to recover defenses. " I agree to everything in this post. But in fact CI is not an option anymore. It should be an option tho. LL shouldn't get as overpowered as it was. But there is some immediate defense buff for ES builds necessary to save the league for those who decided to go for ES. I suggest straight 1-2% (maybe1-3%) buff of all %es nodes on the tree to get it started. Maybe some other detail changes like es regeneration rate and regeneration delay (can't judge much about it without testing). Maybe add some +50AR or +50EV to a few of the %ES nodes? Just some ideas. " I don't think I've seen a jewel with +ES on spell hits or anything of the sort. So perhaps that may work as a bandaid for ranged/melee it doesn't really help CI casters; which really need help in 2.0. |

" CI caster pretty much have to go with a build that rarely get hit so they cane use the recharge wich pretty much boils down to totem(preferably with freeze) / summoner i guess as for leech the only current option i see that a caster at the topside of the tree might be able to use is VP witch a leech gem. no idea how well that will work tough. esp in case of CI where you don't have the backup plan thats is flasks. |

Have you considered running defensive options?
Decoy totem, frost wall, dual totem, summoners, freeze etc. . . It appears CI went back to it's old state when ZO and GR didn't even exist. And people made it work then, though the value's where completely different. I am going to assume a CI in the new meta will consist of a "full avoidance" play-style, coupled with the new natural ES recharge system. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
