Cartographer's Box + Ascendance Mod Intended Change or Bug?

I found this box in a lv66 zone, so instead of spawning a lv68 map, it just increased the level of the 66 map.

66 maps are 68 maps now, nothing to do with lockbox mod.

then that means rolling a +item level on the carto box had absolutely no effect...?

Outside of maps only the entry-level (68) can drop. If you find a carto-box in a lvl60 area it will drop maps lvl68 only and if you find one in a lvl70 area it will also only drop 68 maps. Because those are the only maps that can drop outside of maps. That isn't even a change a Carto-box in Sceptre of God could only drop lvl66 maps as well even if it had a higher level.

OP didn't know 68 is new minimum level for map drops.

+2 item level basically does nothing now for any carto box that otherwise would've dropped L66 maps.

Do notice the new artwork for the maps, having square tiles rather than lumpy rocks. With the map change, old ones were kept, though all NEW drops would all be of the new maps.
