Malachai - invisible burning debuff

I was fighting Malachai in his last phase, when he spawns the burning circle on the ground (visible).
I teleported out to refill the flasks, and when i went back through the portal the circle became invisible, though it was still there since i was randomly getting its debuff while walking around.
I teleported out again to double check, but it remained invisible for the rest of the fight.
