MMO Inspired Loot Filter w/ Built in Price Checker for New and Experienced Players!

Sup exiles,

Daunting here! I've gotten a lot of great feedback on my loot filter and have been asked to put it up for more to use so here it is!

http://pastebin.com/j9w5ksrD#

Here's my MMO inspired loot filter for both new players and experts all in one! This is a very conservative loot filter and has kept the feel of the original POE game (no crazy colors everywhere) while creating a clean playing experience for both while you level up and playing in end game maps.

The only colors that have been changed are border colors that will change based on the rarity/ value of an item ranging from green>blue>purple>orange. There is also red for anything used in crafting recipes, yellow for anything used in a chaos recipe and pink for all the highest level crafting white bases 75 item level +

Below are pictures of what it would look like leveling up.. Once you hit maps pretty much everything is hidden that you would never pick up! Only items of value to you are shown. Read more about whats shown while mapping near the end of this post.

Again, here is a link to the filter

How to set up the loot filter

Spoiler

Simply copy to clipboard

Next, create a word document and paste what you just copied onto the document. Save the file as ""Daunting'sLootFilterV1.0.filter" Make sure you add the ".filter" at the end in all lower case. This will turn it into a loot filter.

Place the file in C:\Users\Your user here\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile
Done!

Color Scheme / Price Checks

The border color scheme was taken from the classic MMO style of rarity in gear. I have made it so that new and experienced players can see the border color and quickly know the general worth of an item. Below is the scale that is used. Keep in mind that this is meant to be a general guideline and specific items can always fluctuate in price.

Green - Tier 4 valued items: generally .5 chaos - 1 chaos
Blue - Tier 3 valued items: .5 chaos - 10 chaos
Purple - Tier 2 valued items: 5 chaos - 1 exalt
Orange - Tier 1 valued items: 1 exalt and up

Basic functions of the loot filter

While leveling (gear with item levels 1-67) :
Spoiler

All normal and magic items have reduced size and opacity with some exceptions to border color. HP and mana flasks have smaller font but also have a green border to help you see which flasks you need to pick up as you level up. All 1 handed weapons that are three linked also have a green border (to help you get weapons to craft on as you level up). All 4 linked weapons and armor pieces have a green border. Lastly, utility flasks also have a green border.

While mapping (gear with item levels 68-100) :
Spoiler

All normal and magic items are hidden with exceptions to border color for high level white crafting bases. Anything of value, ie. green, blue, purple and orange is also able to bee seen. This makes for a much cleaner screen while mapping. As you may know, when mapping, sometimes your screen can be overloaded with normal and magic items you would never pick up and it makes it hard to actually play sometimes having to look through the mess. This filter removes all those items of no value from sight and will only show you items that you actually would pick up.

If you want to see all the specific changes the loot filter does I suggest you open up the file in the Filtration program as you will be able to clearly see what has been altered and can easily make any further changes to the filter yourself! I have provided a link below! Also, I have provided a link to a more in depth article on how to set up this loot filter.

EDIT: If people like this filter I will be going in and giving every unqiue item in the game a price check and give it the appropriate color scheme border. I know prices fluctuate so i will update it once a week depending on the market and average the value between hardcore/softcore. This will take time but i certainly don't mind if it's a feature that you guys want!
