Who do you think brings in all the bodies?
And if its the blackguards why dont these relativly normal humans freak out at the sea of blood and bodies? |

She comes from the Blizzard school of boss design. She has to have at least 50 skulls on armour and/or be surround by dozens of skulls on the wall Or throne usually) and/or corpses on the floor so we know she is a wrong'un and eeevil.
Without the corpse piles, she's be merely quasi-eeevil. Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress.

I actually hypothesized that, given the massive volume of bodies found in the dungeon that she's actually creating clones and that the piles of bodies are dolls waiting to be used. She's building an army. That doesn't mean that they don't feel pain, however. That amount of biomass implies that she could be getting it from somewhere else. Maybe it's mostly cornstarch? Is anyone willing to do volumetric analysis on one of the body piles?

I like to think the lunaris temple makes your character go mad, and he's actually hallucinating.

I think the countless dead bodies, the seas of blood and the painful cries in the last sector of act 3 fit perfect to the "adult" setting of PoE.

My impression has been that Piety has a similar problem that Maligaro had - she is dying, either just getting old and fearing old age, or from some other wasting sickness.
Dominus' plans to ascend to godhood seem to be something different whatsoever. I do assume that at some point their research fed of each other (and possibly still does by the time the Exile gets dumped on the shore of the Twilight Strand) but I always had the impression that Piety seemed to be trying to accomplish something else, different, then Dominus did, while providing her master with whatever he might need to go after his own ends. Her research into the creation of Brutus and Fidelitas (mark the irony in the names here - both Piety and Fidelitas refer to faith, staying faithful) seem to indicate that she is looking into perfecting attaining immortality via Virtue Orb implementation (which is what Maligaro sought to do) without the terrible mutation that usually follows. Dominus seems to be thinking of "more" then that, he seems to want Godhood himself and his means seem to be different, in fact, as I stated in a different speculation thread, he seems to in fact want one of the exiles to reach him, possibly needing an especially strong individual to achieve his goals. But well, time (and act 3.5) will tell ;) |

" How is this trolling? Would this have been trolling if there were a reference to the Phnom Penh S-21 facility or the Union Carbide disaster in Bhopal? I'm positive that Frosted will not clarify but this post stinks. |

Well, the bodies are...failed...failed miscreations. I posted something similar a few weeks back actually, wondering about the same thing.
I guess she's researching as much as possible at a rapid pace for the perfect baleful gem thingie? That will raise Dominus to godhood. I seriously hope we'll see some of Piety's successful creations in the Sceptre or later on. (personal bodyguards of Dominus who work the same way as Piety? Yes please. Oh wait..people would complain about it being too hard) Last edited by ErrorCode#4499 on Feb 11, 2013, 11:02:34 AM
