Bug or just sexy mtx combo?

I know this is bugged in some way, just a few minutes all of my bow was black for a minute or two, shame i had no thought about taking a screenshot. Normally though, it looks like this:




I must say, this is something i had hoped for when i bought the mtx and traded for that other bow. So nice looking, but it just occured to me that this might be bugged and maybe it was supposed to be all black and that this might get fixed in the future...

Please, if it is a bug, don't for the love of god fix it. Leave it be!
