It won't work, the mod works only for the item it was crafted on and it can only be crafted on chest armor.

If it stays as it is, I wouldn't do it. Too many things can bring it down fast, multiprojectile spells and chaos damage in particular, hard bosses like mageara or merveil too unless he has a lot of spell block which would be tricky with a 2H weapon. He's significantly tougher in beta and might be worth investing in good gear, but we'll see, I'm using the skill a lot so the difference should be easy to spot.

Probably a vendor recipe like goddess scorned, both uniques and an orb of fusing, most likely.

that so, huh? never used it.
pretty sad, thought it was a global mod that affected all the gear of your guardian.
