Dealing with Bear Traps.

With an impressive résumé like that I'm surprised that you can't see cast animations and move away from a trap that takes about a second to arm after it lands.

1. Its quite hard to notice thrown trap animation, especially when intense action is happening;

2. If you manage to avoid trap in the first place, it will almost immediately become invisible and lie dormant until you step on it;

3. Fighting bear trap with a movement gem is pretty much a joke. I'll quote myself: "Only options for you left are sit and helplessly watch or try to catch other character using lightning warp or whirling blades for example, which is VERY complicated to do when opponent is moving a lot and you are short attack range character"

It is really not smart if you think that you can dodge every single bear trap. We really need an option to counter it.

And this is the main reason i hate every bear trapping mobs, and avoid Ghetto maps because even if you kill the boss, those traps are remaining forever, you can't see them, and eventually you'll step in one of them then BAM -3k hp or if there are nasty mods in a map you'll insta rip.

Hey brother, good to see others who hate them. I don't run the map because avoiding the traps after they're thrown is just a pain.

Though to the OP, who in my eyes is trolling or something, my points stands. I don't think they're broken, and there are many ways to deal with it.

Actually traps are destructible entity's.

so an AOE attack/spell will destroy them.

There is absolutely no reason to fear maps like ghetto, take the boss for a ride and then simply walk forwards along another path or clear with AOe before moving.

And like previously mentioned, if trapped, use a movement skill.

Bear trap is still op.

no need to dodge it when you can freely use any movement skill while being trapped.

leap slam
whirling blade
lighting warp

.
.
Because in real life when you get trapped you are gonna say , oh I




And the guy who dies to a single hidden bear trap needs to change his build asap.


Edit: when you think about it, it's actually "under powered" because it's supposed to pin you in one place for the duration but it actually doesn't prevent you from changing your position using active movement skills. Yea, it's weird and in fact has been asked by some pvp players to make them visible but not allow you to move at all while trapped.
