As I've stated before, I've made a habit of sharing these illustrations on here and another game's forum. Here's some info about the cards that I gave in response to a question from a fan other there: Fan: " These cards look really sweet so far man, out of curiosity, is what we see on the card face's at the moment what they're going to look like later on? Either way they look pretty mad. My response: " Thanks! It's still very early in the game's development, and I've only started producing concepts and prototypes to compare to one another, so it's really hard to say at this point. That said, I can say that the card layout I shared was the best of three concepts I created yesterday. If we keep the layout, the details may change, such as the border graphics, fonts, and potentially a few other things, but overall I really prefer the large portrait, simple description, and sub-description elements to these cards. We of course want to make our cards similarly appealing and efficient to popular trading card game cards, but drastically tailored to meet our needs with our game's completely different (and unique, as far as I'm aware) mechanics. Today, I printed, laminated, and finished several card prototypes using the card concepts from the past few days. I gained several new fans with them, all of whom were current/former advanced Magic:TG players. One step at a time. Dude, I still need to get around to taking those pics for you. No, everyone, the pics are actually SFW. Also, when I order some more I am definitely want a large print of that get out of religion free card. That shit is legit dude. Tonight's is a new kind of card, this time a Revenant class card. I also redid the backgrounds for all the cards in the same style as this one (but different colors and minor variations per card type). The Revenant specializes in cursing players/summons, taking over summons, stealing cards, and being an overall jerk. I will try to start doing more traditional illustrations. I've just been putting a lot of time into making cards recently and have been scolded by my girlfriend for it!
