[3.1] BERSERKER/JUGGERNAUT 288k DPS Ice Crash/EQ Crit Staff AKA "The Shattering Karui"

Hey, i've been running the build fine some time now and got lucky with a 6l hege,
I'd like to ask what is the reasoning for increased crit damage instead of faster attacks? i am getting higher numbers on faster attacks and more consistent stun/freeze on enemies, though i haven't looked at the numbers with max power charges and the inc. crit damage gem.
Out of curiosity - do you know what your resists are?

I'm trying to work out how much resist I need to get from gear and also thinking whether it's worth getting Diamond Skin and Armour Mastery (just to the left of the Warriors Blood node). it would only be 4 points to get those two, but there's little point if it's easy enough to cap elemental resists without the diamond skin passive.

Also - Down at the bottom of the passive tree is a noteable skill called Rampart, which would take 6 or 7 points to get to, but seems like it might be worth it if Fortify is in the support chain. Has anybody tried Rampart?

what do you think of shopping around for a Hexclaw Talisman as a neck piece?
http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Hexclaw_Talisman

It is a Tier 2 Talisman. The implicit mod on this item is (45 to 50)% increased Global Critical Strike Chance. As with all talismans, it can roll with any or all of the usual mods you can get on an amulet (but of course it's corrupted)

Theoretically you could get something like:

50% increased Global Critical Strike Chance
Adds #-# Physical Damage to Attacks
+# Life
#% increased armour
+#% to Elemental Resistance
+#% to Elemental Resistance
+#% to Elemental Resistance

if you only got (say) 4 of those mods (+remember it can't be exalted because corrupted), would that implicit ~45-50% global crit chance be better for this build than +Dex on a jade amulet, or other stat boost? Or would you go for a non-corrupted amulet, and guarantee yourself a shot at 6 mods?

Inc crit damage makes you one-shot even all magic mobs, that's why. The point around which this build is made is to hit hard, not hit fast, as Ice Crash already significantly limits how fast you can attack.

My resists are always maxed out... are you saying you play characters that don't have max res in merciless? I suppose that's not the case and you're actually asking what my total resists are, in which case I will direct you to the video linked in the build thread :)

Rampart is not worth it, especially not for that much points. If you want more survivability, getting more life is much more effective.

Of course it would be worth considering. If it had the 4 perfect mods you describe, it would absolutely be worth it. A jade amulet is not a must anyway, I used it simply because I didn't manage to get the stats on my other gear. But even if you needed a jade, taking the +30 dex node for a good talisman amulet like that is worth it.

Hey mate, I'm sure this has been asked before but I could not find a reply due to the massive feedback this thread has received - but is this build Aztiri/Uber Aztiri viable in HC?

Normal atziri, yes, uber hardly, myb if you're very experienced in doing atziri and have super good gear.

I noticed the skill gems listed in the OP differ from the ones discussed in the video (flicker strike is talked about in the video for applying warlords).

Which one would you recommend?

The video was made in patch 2.0. when Blashpemy didn't exist. Now that Blasphemy exist, you don't need flicker strike for curse on hit.
