Help a noob?

As a general rule do things normally stack or not stack? Like I have a ring with conductivity 14 and also the skill itself. Would they both work to lower resist on critters or only the highest?

I'm assuming you have an unset ring with the curse inside, and a curse somewhere else on your gear.

The skill bar can tell which one you're using. It's the one you're using at the time will affect mobs. Example:

I have a level 20 conductivity in my ring, and a level 1 conductivity in my boots.

I place my level 20 curse on my left mouse button, and the level 1 on my right mouse button.

If I clicked the left button, the level 20 curse is applied. If I press the right mouse button AFTER applying the curse with my left mouse button, the right mouse button curse will OVERWRITE the left mouse button curse.

In short: They do not stack. Only carry one curse of one type at a time. Do not carry two of the same curses.

Either way, it still does not stack. I suggest sticking to one or the other. I personally would carry the curse as a gem. Although that ring isn't half bad for its level.

Also, you have the other skill as a curse on hit setup. It will still overwrite the one in the ring if you're casting the curse manually. So my logic stills stands: Pick one and stick with it.

Yeah, the logic makes sense. Different games handle various stacking differently. I in the previous one I played they'd have combined and so two 20% bonuses would be 121% of normal instead of 120 or 110.

Yeah, I'm not using it but found it about 20m ago and so it brought up the question.

It's corrupted, you probably slapped a vaal orb on that. It's a neat ring nonetheless.

Yeah, it was a jewelry strongbox with a bunch of extra rares and +quality and quantity. Someone on some guide suggested it was useful to use on those so I have been.

With all the various upgradable currencies is there a suggested one to stockpile? IE, move them all into fusings and sit on a pile or regrets, etc?

I think most people try to make their own builds at first and almost everyone fails their first tries and sadly, most of the time it starts around your lvl.

The best way to learn imho is to find a cheap build guide and stick to it.

You end up learning what synergises best with what.


There are plenty of good guides on youtube too, like someone mentionned ziggyd on youtube explains great basics.

I suggest you keep playing your summoner and when your gems hit 18/19, you can easily do maps, and stack some rarity which leads more (and eventually better) drops...

And summoners can do 78 maps with 4L stuff ;D
