Planing a "Doomsower-Duelist" // Melee newbie! NEED HELP!

As allready stated in the title I'm a newcommer to meele builds and mostly played some kind of mage type character or combat mage type character before.
Now I want to do something new entirely but also dont want my 1st melee build to end in a huge mess. That's why I'm asking for your advice and help! I would love to make good use of the doomsowers effects as well (extra fire dmg & aoe) and also allready made a skilltree which I guess would love some optimazation from experienced melee players! Here's the tree

Sorry to have kept you left pondering for so long. I would say that the reason none of us replied you is because the skill tree by itself is quite perfect and all that is left is the gear that you are getting.
I first of all worried that 2-hander would suffer from quite a lack of defense, which is replaceable only with endurance charges in your case. I see you have attained them, that is great. Fortify in the new update in weeks to come might help replace your endurance charges completely. Secondly, you do realize doomsower sucks quite a bit as a 2 handed-sword. The base DPS barely hits 400 dps. I have 1 handed weapon that comes close in DPS and most 2 handed players aim for 700 or higher. In fact I just vendored away a doomsower recently. You are dependent on killing monsters fast as your primary defense. Without that, you might have to grab resolute technique somewhere along your tree. Last but most important advice from me is, don't go for this sword. Doomsewer really sucks down the sewers. (Pun intended) |

What I basicly did was opening the poe.builder, looked where all the two handed / life notes are and tried to do a decend build. About the Doomsower, your right that there are 1 handed weapons that hit like 400+ pDPS BUT these most likely are the mirrored weapons not everyone has access to, same is true for the 600+ up to 700+ pDPS two handed swords. I'm more of a casual thats likes to test alot builds and such so mirrored gear isnt really for me therefore I think doomsower is an OK weapon until I get a better rare one or am I completely wrong here??? Assuming you are a poor player, I guess a doomsower is just about right. However, I think you can get a 500 physics DPS sword for a few GCPs. That depends on the seller of course. That extra 100 DPS means a lot in terms of both offense and defense.

doomsower is comparable with a 500pdps 2h sword, which costs 3-5ex
