Partner with WTFast?

@GGG:

Have you guys considered partnering with https://www.wtfast.com/ ? It may be a good thing to look into getting your servers added to their gaming VPN.

Do you not see a huge "free version" icon right on the home page? And yes people do pay for it otherwise do you think this company would still exist? With PoE's terrible desync I think it may do some good.

Desync has nothing to do with the performance of the servers or the latency.

VPNs will rather make your ping worse, not better.

Not in 99% of the cases. Unless you are sitting right next to the game servers (2-3 hops away only), the VPN will improve your routing, reducing packet loss, and ping times to game servers.

The VPN can but I wouldn't play with a VPN if I didn't have to. I personally rather GGG stay away from partnering with such places.

This isn't a FPS or competitive dota 2, this is an ARPG people don't need to min max their connection.

I'm certainly no expert, but shouldn't it make the ping worse? The signal is not coming directly from the server of the company but a second one which costs time.

Actually suprisingly their website has good information about why VPNs can be helpful.

https://blog.wtfast.com/2012/09/vpn-services-and-how-they-reduce-lag.html

Basically the VPN, especially one setup specifically for that game knows the best route (and saves) that information to use for future. The only time one should, IMO use a VPN service is if you are a popular streamer or a competitive player, both of which is because people love to DDOS those people.
