Why should we identify items?

What is the reason we have to identify an item? It is absolutely and only a waste of time for each item to use a scroll of wisdom and identify it..... Anyone has any idea?
They can all be already identified, so much easier

Unid trading and Unid recipes are actually pretty cool. Wouldn't wanna miss that.

Scrolls of wisdom are the very basics of the PoE economical structure.
They build the solid basis the economy relies on to function, thus bringing joy and wealth to the grateful players.

240= 1c
1c = low level unique
flip the unique = 2c
flip 2c in varous currency numerous times = 1ex
buy 1ex item, then flip it
rinse and repeat numerous times until you can afford a shav

wisdoms just bought you a shav, you see?

All games like this is built on a time vs. reward base. You spend time, and get rewards. This is just another instance.

You spend time picking up the scroll, you spend time picking up the item, you spend time ID'ing it, and time deciding what to do with the item.
...or you don't spend the time and get less reward (or nothing if you just leave the item on the ground)...

In a grinding game (and PoE is one, just like the rest in the genre), you can't remove the grinding elements without making the game non-viable.

I would go a step further and ask why we can't use unidentified items. We should be able to and get a bonus for not knowing what we're getting.

Is having a bonus for wearing unidentified items really worth it if you don't know that everything you're wearing is probably worthless junk? also... Identifying a magic or rare is worth more at the vendor as a single item than an unidentified item. (this is not counting the chaos and regal recipes).
