Ancestral Bond in PVP

I am using a dual spork totem, and as you know, Ancestral Bond now does not allow you to do direct damage with spells. I tried to pvp earlier and had the case where people would Arc/Ice Spear my totems from across the map, rendering me useless.

So, how am I supposed to pvp with just totems?
