Item and Vendor Response Lag

For the last few weeks I have been experiencing lag when I interact with items or vendors. It seems to happen in 10 second cycles and prevents me from picking up or moving items in my inventory or selling the vendor. I am running the game off of an SSD and have only being having issues on the live client, not the beta. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no luck.

perhaps you need to remove and re-add the exclusions for PoE from your antivirus/firewall/security software?

Thanks for the advice, added an exception in windows firewall and it seems to have smoothed things out.
After more playing is seems the firewall was not the source of the issue. I should note the issue doesnt seem to be tied to my frame time, FPS, or Latency. It is as if the game just stops allowing me to do anything and then after 3 or so seconds kicks back into gear.
