What weapon for witch

Hi all

I decided to roll a witch and i've been wondering what's the best kind of weapon to use to get the most out of it when it comes to spell damage. I thought that as a witch, a wand would be my basic type of weapon as it gives cast. speed and spell damage and other bonuses which are useful for witch.

Lately though, im told that i should use daggers. Can someone please explain me why would i use daggers for witch? Do they give more spell damage even though they are not witch-type weapon or what?

I would also like to ask if critical stike chance for spells is a good choise considering that i will be using Spark as my main skill (lightning build).

Daggers can roll pretty high spell damage as well and have some nasty crit on top of it.

Wands can get cast speed and projectile speed (if of any use to you or not) and of course come with inherent spell damage.

So basically daggers can give you more crit and wands more spell damage and cast speed (at high-end ideal rolls).

Since you won't rolling one perfect item after another, it's usually a good idea to check both weapons out regularly (one handed maces with elemental dmg can be good as well, depending on your build of course).
