ya is true, but this is just a thread, dont take it so serius, maybe one streamer makes no difference, but is good for the game to have more streamers, because this is a free to play and his succes is porportional to his playerbase.

PoE can be quite unforgiving, which is a major part of its charm. This guy streams for a living, and the people who watch his streams the most are probably of the more impressionable, prepubescent kind, looking for 'pro-tips' or just wanting to make a trip into the land of the hardcore through this guy. Him having died 4 times (was it?) makes him appear not so hardcore or skilled to his viewers. If he can't do his job properly, he won't be able to make a profit from it. And Diablo 3 is way more forgiving. He can pay his way into being secure. PoE's beta environment is much more volatile to his venture.
Streamers do add to the popularity of any given game, yes, there is a symbiosis of sorts; but I tend to view most of them as parasites.

His own bloody fault, quite clearly not looking properly as his HP went down..slowly... at 3/4 full mark a good HC player will have run back. His other team didn't ditch him, he went first without checking if they were fighting foes flanking them. Sheesh!

I mean I give streamers a tiny bit of credit but not much.

I mean come on dude add up how many viewers etc. Then find out how many of those viewers are not just "passing by" checking out a game to see if they want to try it which you can also do on youtube etc.


I'd give streamers credit for maybe couple thousand if that and most of them would of ended up coming to try this game without them.


Also do not really care if this guy leaves.
