Righteous fire
Hi guys. Is it possible to sutain RF with 1500 hp, 6kes with only rotp, barbarism, pof and shaw ring with 54% aura effect? No ZO, no vitality. Ty for answers.

Don't know what a shaw ring is.
The calculation is simple. Multiply your life by .9 and your ES by .7, add them together and that's how much unmitigated fire damage you take per second. Add up your fire resist and subtract from one to get the percent of damage that doesn't get mitigated by your resists. When you multiply that by the damage you calculated, you'll get the amount of damage you actually take per second. If you regen more life than that, you can sustain it. Edit: without ZO, your ES will burn off and stay off, leaving you running around with 1500 life. You won't live long even if you did have enough life regen. Pls if i am incorrect, correvt me
Lvl 23pof+ 54% aura effect = 5base max res, 5/100.154=7,7=8 max res+8rotp+barbarism+75base=92% fire res Now rf burn damage: 1500 life, 8000es 1500/100.90=1350/100.8=108 ES 8000/100.70=5600/100.8=448 448+108=556 556/8000.100=6,95% ES Regen
" stuff in PoE gets rounded down Now rf burn damage: 1500 life, 8000es 1500*0.9=1350 1350*0.09 = 121.5 ES 8000*0.7=5600 5600*0.09 = 504 total 625 (not sure about rounding in this case, but its not that important.. e: perhaps life regen is not an integer type variable) 625/8000 = 7,81% btw " wtf is this? never seen anyone writing equations like this IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator on Apr 27, 2015, 3:07:08 PM

" It means - (556/8000) * 100 The reason for it is, 556/8000 = 0.0695 ( which is obviously 6,95% as 1 is 100% ) but nowadays it's taught at many schools like "To get percentages from certain number, just multiply it with 100!" . I disagree and was pretty baffled as well when I saw it the first time when doing teacher substitutions.
oh
I remember our teacher was also using some method to teach percents so that people would never actually understand how it works:) it was something completely different though IGN: Eric_Lindros

Noob here. From the wiki, I thought any incr. elemental damage and aoe damage buffs would increase my self damage. Please advise (I am hoping I am actually wrong on this.) Thanks for replies.
