If you ask me, the one who is probably the least screwed up is the Ranger. Sure she hates men, and she lives in the woods and probably smells. At least she is mostly pretty straight forward in her thoughts and not a total whack job.

Deviant, I agree with you. However considering the rest of the cast if I was forced to have lunch with on of them I would chose Ranger.

meh. marauder isnt a douche but rather proud of his origin and his ancestors. he values the things that his tribe stands for and lives for them.

duelist is kinda douchy but he is... a duelist. so i guesss thats kinda in his job.

and the witch isnt evil just to be evil.

i guess the people living nearby were afraid of her and tried to kill her and as an act of revenge she killed their babys. so i guess its still kinda evil but more in a revengefull way?

being a professional killer also really doesnt mean you're evil. its your job. if thats what you're good and then w/e. someones gotta do it if overpopulation is a problem and someone will pay bare money to wipe someone's face off the town. i'd say that the person paying the shadow is the "evil" one, eh?

Almost Certainly Good--Templar (political exile) well you dont really know what his order was all about eh? maybe they were crazy dudes whoreshipping some crazy god of destruction (atziri) that told them to kill everyone.

and the ranger... well, what whould you expect from someone who grow up in the nature? to care alot about other people? she's also lesbian so go figure how she acts to other men.

I think one good thing about PoE is that all the playable characters are at least somewhat morally ambiguous. None of them are purely evil, but they're not purely good either. There's plenty of room to interpret them either way. They all did something "wrong" to get exiled, but they all also had reasonable motives for doing so. Just like in real life, none of them is evil just for the sake of being evil. They all are doing what THEY think is right at least.
