Beta CWDT - EC - IC

I´m not 100% sure, but I think I saw some1 (i think at ziggyD´s beta test stream) posting in global chat that cwdt does not work with enduring cry anymore. Another player answered and said that it is no cast or spell anymore.

Can somebody confirm this?

I would appreciate that change.
pretty sure thats correct and known since before beta went live. enduring cry is a cry. shares a cooldown with the other warcries. so basically if you want to have a decent IC i guess u have to manually cast EC

Or just get charges another way, such as by using Voll's Devotion, Daresso's Defiance, The Bringer of Rain etc.

This is correct. With the addition of the two new war cries, Enduring Cry was tagged as a war cry and the spell tag was removed. It will not work with Cast When Damage is Taken anymore. It is (should be) still fairly effective when hard cast combined with increased duration - I believe I read you'd only be casting once every 14 seconds once you optimize your setup.

Still, it's certainly not as nice as just being temporarily invincible almost every time something looks at you funny like most build are now. There are some other new ways to survive coming in (check out the new Fortify mechanic if you haven't read about it yet) that will make the CWDT - IC - EC (-MS) combination much less of a mandatory thing, especially for melee players.
with the changes ill personally just be doing it the old way of manually casting IC when needed. makes more space in your cwdt setup for more tricks :P

With the changes to EB / MOM / AA, what can be triggered by CWDT, new skill gems, golems, and all of the changes to the passive tree and possibilities created by jewels...

TRICKS :P

... will the name of the game. :) This won't be your father's POE.

Daresso's Defiance don't work with cwdt. The armor effect is "on hit" so you are actually loosing all the charges before cwdt trigger.

A good solution seems to use Reckoning/Vengeance (for non block user) + Endurance charge on melee stun + Melee Physical DMG/Stun (for non melee user) to generate your charges and get a cwdt+IC+increase duration on the side.

Is fortify working with trigger gem by the way ?
Well lets all be sure to come up with different setups though, to protect against future nerfs. ^_^

eh, manual casting IC kinda sucks, the cast time is brutal, especially if you're already under attack when you cast it (it's way worse than manual casting EC, especially since iirc EC's time should have also gone down with this warcry change).

assuming the Fortify support gem is allowed to work with Vengeance/Reckoning (and Riposte), you'd probably wanna link that into the mix as well (although personally I hope GGG disables Fortify from working without counterattacks, otherwise it's little different from cwdt-ec-ic and the issues it brings).

Personally, I've got ECoMS connected to both Flickerstrike and Vengeance. Build charges passively from counterattacking, but also as a byproduct of jumping to new targets.
