Jewels

Guys i was thinking .. there are different types of jewel types like Cobalt, Crimson and Veridian ... but from the looks of it the jewels don't have implicit modifiers ... so what do you think guys ... will and if "yes" how the base of a jewel will affect it ?
My guess so far is that perhaps some modifiers can roll only on a certain type of jewels. "I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Like a RAINBOW!"

The best theory so far is that each type is associated with an attribute and will roll the modifiers based on that.
