looking for a fire stick (RF sceptre)

my RF Marauder is really looking good now, and Elemental Equilibrium + a nice Ball Lightning are a match made in Heaven.

just one piece of the puzzle missing: sceptre.

or maybe just a Rare with fire damage is better?

RF doesn't technically "ignite" anything, it simply applies burn damage to anything within its range, so the brutus scepter isn't really any good here.

Catalyst is a go-to weapon for RF, and you may be able to get use out of the proliferation support if you can get BL to deal enough damage to shock stuff on a 3L (can prolif shock status while also proccing EE).

Brutus' sceptre has 30% increased fire damage. equal to a perfect tier 1 ("of Ashes") roll on a rare.
and it's not in Exalt Land, while Doryani's definitely is.

+3 Fire gems sceptre is severely underappreciated for RF. It gives you +1 max res with Purity of Fire in it, costs absolutely nothing and can potentially roll 30% fire damage, although that'd probably cost something.

Well if it's just a matter of getting fire damage you may as well get a rare with a fire damage roll and something else useful, like cast speed, resistances, or +gem levels for next to nothing in currency. There's also divinarius for the +10% aoe.

Ultimately, you're going to want doryani's though.

Doryani's is best for damage, you can have one for free if you want.

If it's RF-as-damage, then +AoE is vital imo to keep your sanity, which would be Divinarius.
Doryani's is a ton of damage on the cheap, though, so it's a great option as well.

Doon can be as good as Doryiani's since you want high hp which means high STR, and I guess it's a lot cheaper.

While you're correct in theory, no one gets 800 STR on a righteous fire build. Or even close.

Still, you can easily get more than 240 STR, which is already better than 30% fire damage sceptre (plus it provides up to 70 strength, itself, which is a nice HP boost which increases your base damage).

also, is the Main Hand modifier Global? crazy if it is.
