suggestion, blank uniques

I'd suggest putting a blank unique (no stats) for every items type that exist in the game.

By doing that, you can see if you have the desired drop rate for uniques.

I don't think that will work considering that they don't plan to have a unique for every item type.
I suppose they could however do it for the number of items they do want to have uniques for.

Overall, it's just math — it's not too hard to test, and it's not too hard to tweak, so I really don't think that such a test would even need to be necessary at all.

Actually, the one good thing that might come from such a test is that when a unique is made, if players kept their blank unique(s), it will turn into a real unique when it's implemented, which allows more testing time of the unique, as opposed to having to let players find them which can take a while.
Overall, I certainly don't think this is necessary though, and I don't even know if retroactive unique updating is possible.

I was thinking the same thing, unless they know exactly how many unique items are going to be in the game when it's released, this wouldn't really help as it would give them false numbers.
